Andrii Kovalchuk
Graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Institute of International Relations). Specialty International Law.
He has experience both in private / banking sector and civil service.
April 2014 - October 2016 – First Deputy Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine. He was the Head of Ukrainian delegation to the Committee of Experts of the Council of Europe MONEYVAL according to his areas of responsibility during that period.
A. Kovalchuk has experience in the educational process in the university (Holder of a chair, Vice Rector for Research).
Starting from 2001 and up to the present day, he is engaged in scientific and teaching work. In 2004 – presented his thesis on "Financial and legal regulation of monetary relations". In 2006 – was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor. In 2009 – was awarded the Doctor of Law degree (for thesis research "Financial law in market conditions: problems of formation, development, application").
A well-known expert in the field of finance. Author of monographic researches: "Bank loan, legal means of return" (2001) "Banks. Credit. Finance: Legislative and Legal Dimension" (2004.); Financial Dictionary (reference edition, 2005). "Financial Law of Ukraine" (2007); (Financial Law in Market Systems" (2008); "The Fight Against Laundering of Capital: International Standards and Domestic Realities" (2016).
For the monographic research "Banks. Credit. Finance: Legislative and Legal Dimension" he was awarded the prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for Young Scientists (2005) And in 2010 – the prize of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine to the most talented young scientists in the field of fundamental and applied research, scientific and technical developments for a series of scientific works "Financial Law in Market Systems."
A. Kovalchuk is a member of a specialized Academic Council D. 26.007.03 of the National Academy of Internal Affairs and the Academic Council K 26.503.01 of the Research Institute of Public Law.
